SpongeBob, superheroes and 20 Porsches: Halloween for EACH

27 Oct 2026 · Kim Daley

This Saturday, 31 October, the car park at The Nook fills up with something you don’t see every day: 20 Porsches, driven by superheroes. It’s the Superhero Spooktacular, organised by Porsche Drivers Norfolk, and every penny raised goes to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

A Spooktacular at our favourite hospice.

If The Nook sounds familiar, it should: EACH’s Norfolk hospice on Pigot Lane sits in the same village as our office, and it’s where Alex spent a day behind bars for Jail or Bail. This time the fundraising belongs to Porsche Drivers Norfolk, a local community of Porsche enthusiasts who decided their shared love of cars should do some good close to home. From 10am on Saturday, their Halloween car show takes over The Nook in fancy dress.

The target’s already been beaten.

The group set out to raise at least £5,000. At the time of writing, the JustGiving page stands at £5,845 from 86 donations, with nearly £1,000 of Gift Aid on top, and the event hasn’t even happened yet. Every extra pound still counts: EACH relies on voluntary donations for most of its income, caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions at home, in hospital and across its three hospices.

And yes, Alex is going as SpongeBob.

Snap IT has donated towards the cause, and Alex will be there on the day dressed as SpongeBob. The brief said superheroes. We have checked, and nobody can tell us which superpower SpongeBob actually has. He’s going anyway, because it’s for EACH, and frankly because we want to see the photos as much as you do.

Want to help? Pop a donation on the JustGiving page: every pound goes straight to EACH.

Help the Spooktacular smash its total.

Every pound goes to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, who care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. The target’s been beaten; let’s see how far past it we can push.
