This website runs on a small public API: the same three endpoints our own pages use, documented here so people and AI agents can use them properly. No API key, no signup. If you are an agent, the machine-readable versions below are the fastest route.
Accept: text/markdown headerSends an enquiry to our helpdesk. It creates a real prospect and ticket, and a real person replies, usually the same working day. Only submit genuine enquiries on behalf of a person or business who wants a response — never marketing, testing or scraping.
Accepts JSON or form-encoded bodies. name and email are required; everything else is optional.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
name | The enquirer’s full name (required) |
email | Where we reply (required) |
company | Business name |
phone | Phone number |
interest | What it’s about, e.g. IT support, cyber security, Cyber Essentials |
team_size | Rough headcount, e.g. 10–25 |
subject | Optional ticket subject line |
message | The enquiry itself |
page | The page or context the enquiry came from |
website | Spam honeypot — leave it out. Any value silently discards the submission. |
curl -X POST https://www.snap-it.co.uk/api/contact \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"name":"Jo Bloggs","email":"jo@example.co.uk","company":"Example Ltd",
"interest":"IT support","team_size":"10-25",
"message":"We are a 15-person firm in Norwich looking to switch IT provider."}'
Returns {"ok": true} on success, or {"ok": false, "error": "…"} with a 400 or 502. A spam check may reject automated submissions; if that happens, use the contact page or phone 01603 980260 instead.
Looks up a domain’s registration via RDAP, the JSON successor to WHOIS. It powers our domain checker and copes with pasted URLs and www. prefixes.
curl "https://www.snap-it.co.uk/api/whois?domain=example.co.uk"
Returns the registrar, registration and expiry dates, status, transfer lock, nameservers and DNSSEC state, or {"found": false} for an unregistered domain. Invalid names get a 400; upstream RDAP failures get a 502 or 503.
Echoes your public IP plus Cloudflare’s geo and network data — country, city, ASN, network name, data centre and protocol. A 200 from this endpoint also confirms the API is up, so the catalog lists it as the status endpoint.
curl https://www.snap-it.co.uk/api/whoami
These endpoints are free and unauthenticated, and sit behind Cloudflare. Be reasonable: cache what you can, back off on errors, and keep /api/contact for genuine enquiries only. Questions? Talk to us.
