Buyer’s guide

how much should IT support cost?

In the UK, fully managed IT support typically runs £50–£150 per user, per month, with most small and medium businesses landing somewhere around £60–£100. Ad-hoc or “break-fix” support can look cheaper on paper, but you pay every time something breaks — and the security that prevents those problems usually isn’t included at all.

What drives the price?

Three things, mostly: how many people need supporting, how much security and compliance you need (Cyber Essentials, regulated sectors, sensitive data), and how much on-site work is involved. The more a provider unbundles, the harder it is to compare — which is exactly why we don’t. Our £60 per user covers the whole stack, so the number you see is the number you pay.

Why per-user, all-inclusive?

Because it’s honest and it’s predictable. You always know your monthly cost, it scales cleanly as you grow, and we’re never incentivised to upsell you the protection you should have had from day one. One bill, one number, no surprises.

Common questions

pricing, answered.

How much does IT support cost?
Our fully managed IT support is £60 per user, per month — and that's all-inclusive. Co-managed support, working alongside your own IT team, is £45 per user, per month. Both include support, security, backup and strategy in one fee. We don't sell Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers — everything's in.
What's included in the £60 per user price?
Everything that keeps you running and protected: unlimited helpdesk and on-site support, device and network management, a full cyber security stack (24/7 SOC EDR, email filtering, MFA, patching, backup, training, phishing tests and dark-web monitoring), and ongoing strategy and roadmap reviews. One bill, one number, no upsells.
Is there an onboarding or setup fee?
Yes — a one-off onboarding fee equal to one month's subscription (so £60 per user for fully managed, £45 for co-managed). It covers auditing and documenting your environment, deploying our tooling, liaising with your previous provider and fixing any security gaps we find. It's always agreed upfront.
What's the difference between fully managed and co-managed?
Fully managed (£60 per user/month) means we become your whole IT department — end to end. Co-managed (£45 per user/month) means we work alongside your existing in-house IT team, adding capacity, specialist skills and cover when you need it. If you're not sure which fits, we'll help you work it out.
Are there any hidden costs?
No surprise invoices. A few things sit outside the monthly fee and are always agreed with you upfront: Microsoft 365 licences, projects (new hardware, migrations, office moves), certifications (Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus) and out-of-hours support.
Is there a minimum contract?
We start with a standard 12-month agreement — long enough for us both to get a proper feel for each other. After that most clients move to a 24- or 36-month term, which locks in their pricing. Prices only change by a single annual RPI adjustment, never mid-term for complementary services we add. You can stay on a monthly rolling basis after year one, though it works out more expensive over time.
How does per-user pricing work as we grow?
You pay for the people who need supporting. Add a team member and your bill goes up by one seat; if your headcount drops, so does the cost. No big step-changes and no renegotiation every time you change size.
